First ESP32 Prototype
Did a bit more work on the AC hardware over the long weekend. I think this is the final form (minus the box it’ll live in). It’s become a little harder to see all the bits and pieces since I added the electrical/insulating tape.
I originally used a smaller board but, after putting all the code together, it couldn’t handle running the cloud connection and scanning for IR codes during the IR remote training phase of setup at the same time. Just not enough memory (these smaller boards generally have around 500kb or so of combined RAM!).
Reluctantly, I’ve gone for this bigger board instead which has enough memory (700 kb) to handle everything. Sucks but still think it looks pretty decent and it still fits inside the box I have for the final product.
