Japan’s brutal summer is here and so too is its peoples’ reliance on air conditioners!

So, AC_thing is back for take 2 at some beta testing. The last time, it was March… So nobody was really using their ACs at the time!

With a fancy new website and the publishing of this blog, it’s back. So what will I do differently this time?

Well, firstly, a bit of a stronger explanation about the project and its existence that I can share outside of just my friends and workmates. The ac-thing.com website is the first attempt to achieve that.

Secondly, casting a wider net… I’m still thinking about how I’ll do this but I’ve always loved the idea of some tester who is both a relative stranger but also Japanese (it’s never been tested within that demographic before) so I’m considering approaching some neighbours with the project. Again, the website should help people understand from the get-go what I’m actually going on about.

We’ll see how things go but, as always, learning a bunch even if I don’t get everything I want out of this project.
